Hannah's Return from the USA: A Journey Back to Her Roots

This month marks a momentous occasion for Hannah, as she returns to the UK after revisiting and completing work in the USA. It was more than just a visit—it was a journey back to the place where her path as a Therapist first began 18 years ago. Revisiting the camp that sparked her career, Hannah was able to reflect on how far she’s come and how her experiences there have shaped her work in the present day.

Back then, driven by a deep desire to help others, Hannah embarked on her first summer camp in the USA. It was there that she discovered the power of therapeutic practices and community, sowing the seeds for the passionate work she does today. So, returning to the camp after nearly two decades felt not only like a full-circle moment but also like stepping into a time capsule of heart-warming memories.

What made this trip even more unique was that the camp has remained technology-free—a rarity in today’s hyper-connected world. Instead of relying on screens and devices, the camp emphasizes its core values known as "The Three C's": building confidence, competence, and community.

For Hannah, being back in that environment reminded her of the simplicity and purity of those early days. The camp’s motto—focused on developing confidence, competence, and community—has long resonated with Hannah. It was these same principles that helped form the foundation of her therapeutic approach, both at the camp and beyond.

This recent experience allowed Hannah to relive those moments that first ignited her passion for therapy, reigniting her purpose and energy for the work she does in the UK. In a world that has rapidly changed since her first days at the camp, revisiting such a grounded, tech-free environment was not just nostalgic—it was inspiring. It reminded her of the importance of staying true to the core values that therapy can offer, no matter how much the world around us shifts.

Returning home to the UK, Hannah carries with her the spirit of those "Three C’s," as well as the renewed perspective that revisiting her roots has given her.
