Here at Therapeutic Blueprint, we are committed to providing fully comprehensive support to children's homes through our Team Around the Home Support Sessions. These group reflection sessions are available to Children’s Homes that have completed their Foundations for Attachment (PACE) training (Golding, 2015), and aim to help your home to further embed the principles and strategies learned.

What Are Team Around the Home Support Sessions?

These three-hour sessions serve as a fantastic opportunity for caregivers to reflect, discuss, and refine their approaches to parenting children in care. The sessions focus on reinforcing psychological theories covered in the training, whilst also fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for staff within the home setting.

Caring for children who have experienced developmental trauma presents unique challenges, and ensuring that caregivers feel emotionally supported is crucial to overcoming these presented challenges. These sessions provide a structured yet open space for teams to share experiences, discuss difficulties, and develop effective, trauma-informed approaches.

Key Objectives of the Sessions

✅ Embedding Psychological Theory: Helping staff within the home to apply concepts from the Foundations for Attachment (PACE) training into their everyday parenting practices.

✅ Reflecting on Parenting Approaches: Encouraging discussions on how the home nurtures and supports children, ensuring a consistent, trauma-informed caregiving approach is provided to the children throughout.

✅ Providing Emotional Support for Staff: Creating a safe and understanding space for caregivers to share their challenges and successes, whilst also promoting resilience and emotional well-being for all.
